Dear all,
A release candidate for the next release of MPICH2 (1.0.5) is
available from ftp://ftp.mcs.anl.gov/pub/mpi/mpich2-1.0.5-rc1.tar.gz. For
Windows, a prebuilt binary for IA-32 is available at
ftp://ftp.mcs.anl.gov/pub/mpi/mpich2-1.0.5-rc1-win32-ia32.msi. Please try it
out if you like and let us know if you encounter any problems.
Regards,
The MPICH2 Team
Main changes in 1.0.5
- An SCTP channel, implemented by Brad Penoff and Mike Tsai (Univ. of
British Columbia), has been added to the CH3 device. (SCTP is a
message-oriented reliable transport protocol recently standardized by the
IETF and designed to bridge the gap between UDP and TCP.)
- Various bugs related to dynamic processes have been fixed.
- Performance-related fixes have been added to derived datatypes and
collective communication.
- Many other bug fixes and code cleanup. A full list of changes is
available at www.mcs.anl.gov/mpi/mpich2/mpich2_1_0_5changes.htm .
