The error message in your log indicates that MPICH1 has trouble accessing the command
line feature of the Fortran77.  MPICH2 does not need command line accesses, so it will
be more robust.  BTW, MPICH1 was written before gfortran become popular, so it may not
be trivial to get MPICH1 to work new compiler!  So as Pavan said, you should try using
MPICH2 and post any problems here.
