[mpich-discuss] rsh command error

Hi,
 The step 9 of the installer's guide suggests trying ssh/rsh to all the machines (not the machine file) in your cluster and try executing a command (like "date").
 Try ssh first. The command should be,

ssh my_machine.domain.com date

i have windows xp os and i have installed cygwin. 

now i was installing mpich2-1.3 
i am at step 9. 

i typed the command 
rsh machinefile date 
or more precisely 
rsh /home/admin/mpich2-install/bin/machinefile.txt date 


but i got the error 
unknown host: rsh.exe can't establish connection. 

guide me to get out of this problem. thanks. 

i am attaching the installation guide using which i am installing mpich.
