[mpich-discuss] mpi problem with "mpd &"

I remember a similar problem in the context of SGE (and unrelated to MPICH): http://gridengine.sunsource.net/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=38&dsMessageId=231938

I think it was solved outside of the list.

One reason could be, that "Alarm Clock" is the first file found in a specific directory, where a "*" made up its way although it shouldn't. And as only the first argument is output, it's this name.

What does return a hostname of "Alarm Clock" - the mpdallexit or your job?
