[mpich-discuss] mpd problems

Have you tried the mpd troubleshooting steps described in Appendix A  
of the MPICH2 Installer's Guide (mpdcheck)?  http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/documentation/files/mpich2-1.2.1-installguide.pdf

What version of MPICH2 are you using?
