[mpich-discuss] I can not control the number of processes on a multicore machine

I use MPICH2, I have two linux box with 4 cpus respectively. my
mpd.hosts is as follows:

m0101:4
m0102:4

the mpd is started by mpdboot -f mpd.hosts.
when I use mpiexec as follows:
"mpiexec -n 8 vasp"

I found five processes is running on m0101 and other three on m0102. I
want to know how to run four processes on every box?
Is anyone can help?
