Take that back. You need mbconvert only for formats with special build options. Exodus format is available from the GUI itself. If you just specify the mesh file name with appropriate extension in the "Configure" tab of the core view in the RGG GUI. There is a field "Output Mesh File", specify "mesh.exo" and it should write "mesh.exo" as an exodus file. You can specify vtk and other format that MOAB supports. Thanks Tim for pointing out.

  Hi Vishal,
You need MOAB's mbconvert utility for converting h5m file to exodus. Details on building MOAB are here: http://sigma.mcs.anl.gov/moab/building-moab/We (SIGMA) team supports various other formats, see SIGMA page for details.
I'll pass your message about "Apply" button to the Kitware team. Please send other such feature requests of problems you encounter with RGG to MeshKit-Dev list.
Also, please share pictures of models you generate - if your work is okay with sharing the model you generate.Thanks.

Hello again,Is there a place to ask questions or is email okay? I wanted to know if different mesh formats than h5m were supported such as exodus? I tried changing the output file name to be .e, mesh generates but I can't visualize it in cubit or paraview so I assume something went wrong. I used the example model 12th core input.
Also, as for a GUI suggestion, I've forgotten to hit apply pretty much after every change I've made. A warning that changes were made w/o apply when switching to a different part of the software would be great. Otherwise, I had no trouble making an NTR fuel element and tietube.
Thanks,
