The ACM SAC 2025 Track on Cloud Continuum welcomes paper submissions
on all aspects of cloud computing research and applications,
emphasizing those describing research on different forms of
virtualization techniques as applied to systems computing.
Cloud computing has become a common commodity with many different
providers and solutions. Several new models are being developed and
applied to ensure scalability, quality of service, and resilience. The
models focus both on the providers, optimizing the use of their
infrastructure, and on the users' side, optimizing the response times
and/or costs. This scenario is becoming more complex with the
possibility of having computing power close to the users on edge/fog
models. All this scenario can be seen as the Cloud Continuum.
There are already some conferences that have the Cloud Continuum in
their call-for-papers. However, only some of them have explicitly
focused on the applications, the goal of our track. We aim to attract
a broader range of papers, from software engineering to
High-Performance Computing applications. All of them will be discussed
in the Cloud Continuum scenario.
The following list includes some of the major topics that we plan to
focus on this year in this track.
- Energy Efficiency
- AI-powered Services
- Security
- IoT Applications
- Architectural Models
- Serverless Computing
- Elasticity
- Storage virtualization
- Sustainable Models
- Programming Models
- QoS for Applications
- Optimization and Performance Issues
- Communication Protocols
- Big Data
- High-Performance Computing Applications
- Innovative Cloud Applications and Experiences
- Availability and Reliability
- Microservices
- New models (like spot instances)
- Frameworks and APIs
- HPC as a Service
This track welcomes all related research to Cloud Continuum, including
theoretical models, algorithms, benchmarks, practical results,
experiments, and frameworks for cloud computing applications.
##Submission Guidelines##
The submissions should be in electronic format (PDF), based on
original, unpublished work. The author(s) name(s) and address(es) must
not appear in the body of the paper, and self-reference should be in
the third person. Only the title should be shown at the first page
without the author's information. Peer groups with expertise in the
tracks focus areas will blindly review submissions. Accepted papers
will be published in the annual proceedings and ACM digital library.
Submission guidelines can be found on SAC 2025 Website.
Prospective papers should be submitted to the track using the START
submission system. Regular papers and Poster papers are limited to 8
and 3 pages, respectively. A few key words should be provided. A paper
cannot be sent to more than one track. Original manuscripts (regular
papers) should be submitted in electronic format through EasyChair:
https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sac-2025__;!!G_uCfscf7eWS!euMM-7F3hBuxzvKu9ztaaEMKsZ7hnAtnYxmKmhk5Ybgoyftgf46yLuNerd13pasBOVpPUKsCX2afgvBxrSy6Lw$
##Important notice for the authors##
Paper registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the
paper/poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy
attending SAC MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for the
paper/poster to be included in the ACM/IEEE digital library. No-show
of scheduled papers and posters will result in excluding them from the
ACM/IEEE digital library.
##Important dates##
- September 20, 2024: Submission of regular papers
- October 30, 2024: Notification of paper acceptance/rejection
- November 29, 2024: Camera-ready copies of accepted papers
- December 6, 2024: Author registration due date
- March 31 - April 4, 2025: Conference days
