30th EUROMICRO Conference on Real-Time Systems (ECRTS 18)

       July 3rd-6th, 2018 | Barcelona, Spain | ecrts18.ecrts.org

       Submission deadline: February, 1st, 2018 (23:59 GMT-12)

====================================================================

ECRTS is the premier European venue for presenting research into the
broad area of real-time and embedded systems. Along with RTSS and
RTAS, ECRTS ranks as one of the top three international conferences on
real-time systems.

Papers on *all* aspects of real-time systems are welcome. These
include, but are not limited to:

    Scheduling Design and Analysis
    Real-Time Operating Systems
    Hypervisors and Middlewares
    Virtualization and Timing Isolation
    Mixed-Criticality Design & Assurance
    Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis
    Real-Time Networks and Communication Protocols
    Processor Design for Real-Time Systems
    Power/Energy/Thermal-aware Algorithms
    Modelling and/or Formal Methods
    Industrial Use-Cases and Real-Time Applications
Tools, Compilers and Benchmarks for Embedded Systems

Theoretical and practical contributions as well as implementation
papers are both welcome provided sufficient scientific or industrial
relevance to the field embedded real-time systems.

ECRTS 2018 will feature a number of Satellite Workshops, including:
Operating Systems Platforms for Embedded Real-Time applications
(OSPERT), Worst-Case Execution Time analysis (WCET), Workshop on
Analysis Tools and methodologies for Embedded and Real-time Systems
(WATERS), Real-Time Scheduling Open Problems Seminar (RTSOPS), and
International Workshop on Real-Time Networks (RTN). ECRTS will also
feature a session on Industrial Challenges and Work-In-Progress, a
Keynote by Mateo Valero (Director of the Barcelona Supercomputing
Center), and an Artifact Evaluation to assess the repeatability of the
research. The ECRTS program committee will award best and outstanding
papers accepted at the conference.

All accepted papers will be published open-access in collaboration
with LIPIcs - Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics without
additional costs.

LOCAL INFORMATION

An extremely popular destination for tourism, leisure and business,
Barcelona will be hosting ECRTS 2018. Its connections to major
international transport hubs and wide range of accommodation make it
the city of choice for major events. Every year around 2,400 events
are held in Barcelona, with a total of nearly 700,000 attendees.
Barcelona is the third city in the ICCA (International Congress and
Convention Association) ranking in 2015. The Mediterranean city is
fully equipped to host the largest international business, technology
and research conferences and exhibitions (e.g. Mobile World Congress).
Barcelona also offers a wide range of world-class cultural and
recreational activities related to internationally recognized artists
including Pablo Picasso, Miro, Dali and Antoni Gaudi.
