I'm not working on it now since I need to help with general AG Toolkit
development, but I have looked at it.

The current rat osx code was written to work with the built-in audio
device on a powerbook.  Replacing the part of the code that is device
specific with OSX's more generic AudioUnit's would allow different devices
such as USB mics, etc. to be handled.
