[AG-TECH] Can't connect to a venue

This problem is occurring on recent Thinkpads.  IBM's OEM XP installation includes the IBM 
tools, which rely on python22, bits of which appear in the user's environment.  The 
problem, and a fix, are in bugzilla:

The only change that is really required is to unset the environment variable
PYTHONCASEOK in the system settings.  Note that it is not sufficient to set it
to zero; it must be _unset_.

I'm not sure of the effect of this change on the IBM tools.
