That's been my experience too.
 
We're working hard to get a new A/V application implemented that is
stable under Windows and compatible with VIC/RAT.  See previous mails on
the topic.

is to run, and transmit from windows is?  I've set up a single machine
node and anytime I try to transmit video VIC dies after about 5 minutes
maximum.
