Hi Stephan,

I just noticed that this thread is still open.  Does the output of my
'ulimit -a' make it clear to you why increasing lelm from 500,000 to
3,000,000 caused genmap to stop working for me?  If so, is it clear a priori
what the maximum lelm on my system could be?
