in /etc/profile  and ~/.bash_profile
 I set :
 source /opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/bin/ifortvars.sh intel64
  
 which contains LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
  
 you can see 
 
[root at hksbs-s11 ~]# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64:/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64
  
 [root at hksbs-s11 ~]# ssh hksbs-s13.com echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64:/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64
 
[root at hksbs-s13 ~]# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64:/opt/intel/cce/10.1.018/lib:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/lib/intel64

Is your LD_LIBRARY_PATH not set in your shell startup script?
