The even larger majority of python users don't use the .pyc or .pyo
files.
I would agree that log files that accumulate in the same directory
clutter things. But .swiftx and .kml (should probably rename that
to .swiftk) don't multiply, so it isn't such a big problem.
So I agree with you in principle. But I don't think the benefits
outweigh the cost.
