[petsc-users] Problem with GPU configure at NERSC

And they do have this wrt cross compiling:

Nearly all software provided by Cray (cray-petsc, cray-fftw, cray-hdf5,
etc.) is not usable on the Cori GPU nodes. This is because the GPU nodes
have different hardware and run a different OS. Only a select subset of
modules available on Cori are designed to work on the GPU nodes.

This means you will likely need to compile your own software directly on
the GPU nodes themselves, rather than cross-compiling for the GPU nodes on
a login node.
