[petsc-users] ERROR_WITH_EXAMPLE_BUILD

Hello,

I am trying to build one example of tutorial on snes with following command
"make PETSC_DIR=/opt/petsc/3.8.4 PETSC_ARCH=linux-gnu-dbg ex1" but it gives
some error like

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortran
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
makefile:29: recipe for target 'ex1' failed
make: [ex1] Error 1 (ignored)
/bin/rm -f ex1.o

It does not build. Can anyone help me to understand to this to build ex1
and run it?
