I think the residual of the first unconverged eigenvalue is set to INF on
purpose and not calculated in the iteration when a converged  eigenvalue is
found. Dividing the INF residual is a mistake:

    if (d->nR[i]/a < data->fix) {

I think your suggestion will certainly fix this issue:

    if (d->nR[i] < a*data->fix) {

Just my guess.
