[petsc-dev] Fwd: Compiling with cxx language

I have a problem with petsc-dev configured with the option

  '--with-debugging=0',
  '--with-clanguage=C++',
  '--with-c-support=1',
  '--CXXOPTFLAGS=-O3 -qnohot -qsimd=noauto -qsmp=omp:noauto',
  '--COPTFLAGS=-O3 -qnohot -qsimd=noauto -qsmp=omp:noauto',

When building, CXXOPTFLAGS are not passed to the cxx compiler. Am I doing
something wrong?

Currently I'm using cmake build (cmake version 2.8.8)
