This really boils down to a question of whether you want to host the
repository or not. If you want to host it, how much work do you want to do?
I've tried a number of different types of repo software but they all have
the problem of gaining complexity.

In my opinion, it'd be nice to keep the current set up but have an optional
package on top of that.
