Alexey,
This was discussed last month on the list. See the thread with
the subject "Update resized.c code to match the comments" at
http://lists.mcs.anl.gov/pipermail/mpich2-dev/2009-April/thread.html . The
test is right and the ROMIO code was fixed for it last summer. The above
thread has the svn version numbers for the changes.

Subject: [mpich2-dev] problem with resized mpich2 test

Hi,

I am working in Intel MPI project.

Our testing constantly shows the failure of resized test from
mpich2-test/mpi/io on different platforms.

The test output is:

 newbuf[0] is 20, should be 10,

 newbuf[1] is 55, should be 55,

 newbuf[2] is 55, should be 55,

 newbuf[3] is 55, should be 20

 Found 1 errors

The bug is reproduced with mpich2 1.1 beta.

The reason of bug is wrong file offsets generated for file view based on
resized data type.

Could you please help to solve the problem?

With best regards,

Alexey Ryzhykh,

---

Intel, Sarov
