Can the computing nodes ssh each other without a password? If it still does
not work, there is probably some problem with the networking environment on
the machines. To debug, you can use the mpdcheck utility as described in the
installation guide.

	Subject: [MPICH2-dev] Why cannot i run "mpdboot" correctly

	hi everyone,
	    I have installed Mpich2 by running commands "./configure; make ;
make install"
	    According to the install guide.pdf , i am doing the next step to
configure it.
	    I am trying the step "Start the daemons on (some of) the hosts
in the file mpd.hosts".
	    When I run the command
	                                   "mpdboot -n 9 -f mpd.hosts"
	    The result shows that
	                         "mpdboot_chemical.sccas.cn
(handle_mpd_output 385): failed to handshake with mpd on node-0-2.local;
recvd output="

	   My cluster has 9 nodes-- 1 fronted node, 8 computing nodes from
node-0-1 to node-0-8.
	   And my "mpd.hosts" file is like this
	        node-0-1.local
	        node-0-2.local
	        node-0-3.local
	        node-0-4.local
	        node-0-5.local
	        node-0-6.local
	        node-0-7.local
	        node-0-8.local
	  And I am sure that I can ssh all the computing nodes from fronted
node without entering password.

	   so what is the problem with command "mpdboot"?
	   Thanks
	   Regards
	   Yanh. Sun
