Yu-Cheng Chou,

MPICH2 can run on Windows and Unix platforms and the libraries provided link
with Visual C/C++.

Subject: Run an MPICH program on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms in
parallel

Hi,
According to MPICH.NT FAQ, an mpich program cannot be run on Windows and
non-Windows platforms in parallel due to the uncompatible tcp devices that
are used by these two kinds of machines.

I would like to know if there is any MPICH-based solution (packages,
patches, etc) to make the cross-platform execution feasible.

I would also like to know if there is any other MPI implementation, which
was built using Microsoft Visual C compiler not Cygwin's gcc, allowing the
above execution purposes.

If the MPI package was built using MSVC compiler, the libraries of this
package can be interfaced from within other Windows applications more
easily.

Thanks
