Hi,
 The register/validate steps should succeed before the user can launch an MPI job.
 The user should specify the domainname if the registered user (Windows username registered with mpiexec) is a domain user.

Thanks Jayesh, I will give that a try.  Just to note, we have registered and reregistered on several occasions the username and password.

So, if it fails, what should I do next?  I only ask because it's difficult to schedule the time with the user to go over the troubleshooting steps.

Hi,
 Please register (mpiexec -register) a valid Windows username/password with mpiexec and let us know if you still have issues. You can check if the registered username/password works using "mpiexec -validate" .

Hello, 



I have installed MPICH on a computer for use with Autodesks Simulation Multiphysics program. However unfortunately it does not appear to be working. When launching through the command prompt (mpiexec –n 1 “c:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation 2013\ssap11ld.exe” “ File path ” –run) I get the following message: 



Credentials for usernameI rejected connecting to RFDWPSCHNEIDER.eclipsenet.com 

Aborting: Unable to connect to RFDWPSCHNEIDER.eclipsenet.com 



I have added all necessary programs to the windows firewall exception, disabled win firewall and UAC. Still get the same error message. Any advice would be appreciated.
