[mpich-discuss] mpich from the MCS Ubuntu linux build

I am using the one available with this softenv key:
+mpich2-intel

naromero-desktop:~> which mpiexec
/soft/apps/packages/mpich2-1.2.1p1-intel/bin/mpiexec

Yikes, that's kind of an old version of MPICH2 isn't it :(

I will try a simple test case and if it still fails, will just build
MPICH2 from scratch.

Did you apt-get MPICH2? The Ubuntu version should be fine. I just tried 
it on my laptop and it seems to be working correctly.
