 Uninstall your existing version of MPICH2 and follow the instructions in Section 9.4 (NOT 9.1) of the installer's guide (http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/documentation/files/mpich2-1.4.1-installguide.pdf).
 Let us know if you still have issues.

Hi, Dear Sir or Madam, 



I just installed MPICH2 on my computer of Window 7 and ran the examples cpi.exe. 

When I enter the following command: 



mpiexec –n 4 cpi.exe 



the prompt is as follow: 

“CreateProcess failed, error 2 

Unable to start the local smpd manager.” 



Could you tell me how to solve above problem? I look forward to hearing from you.
