 Which version of MPICH2 are you using ?
 I have added a ticket to track the work to disable netmods in Nemesis (re-enable the feature) on Windows (https://trac.mcs.anl.gov/projects/mpich2/ticket/1496).

Does anyone have a clue? Are there some settings that can be changed, so 
that MPICH2 functions properly? My laptop is usually on home network and 
is a member of a workgroup.
