[mpich-discuss] Error while making MPICH2

There are some strange "permission denied" errors during the MPE and MPD builds at the end of your m.txt.  But it's not obvious to me what is causing that.

What exact commands did you execute?  Did you execute them as a normal user or as root (only "make install" should be done as root)?  Is this a VPATH build (invoking configure from a different directory than the source tree)?  Can you please also attach your config.log?

Did you actually run "sudo make install" after the make step?
