[mpich-discuss] try to install MPICH2 on SGI under local account

When you login to the SGI machine, you can cd to a directory that is
local to that machine, say /tmp or ask the administrator which is the
directory corresponding to a local disk. You can build MPICH2 there. You
can specify an install directory that is on NFS via the --prefix option.
