[mpich-discuss] try to install MPICH2 on SGI under local account

It looks like some of the variables in your makefile are not set. Can 
you send us the top-level config.log and Makefile?

Btw, only the documentation didn't get installed. The files required for 
running MPI applications should already be installed before this error, 
I think.
