Hi,
If the user registered is a local user then you need to have the same user (same username/password) available on all the nodes. However you need to register the username/password only on the node where you launch your job.
It is recommended to register a domain user since you don't have to keep track of local users on each compute node.

I assume that by specifying "Everyone" on the install, the smpd will allow any run id on Node 0 to start a run and all smpd's will participate in the ring. But is there any kind of authentication limitations on the compute/smpd ring nodes that require a local user id to allow the run to proceed?
