Hi,
You should use "smpd -s" to start the SMPD daemon and "smpd -shutdown" to stop an SMPD daemon. The "-install" option is not available/valid on unix systems.

Regards,
Jayesh

Subject: [mpich-discuss] installing smpd on Linux box

Setting up to run between Windows and Linux. Am just running smpd -install for the linux box like Windows. Anything else for spmd on Linux?
