[mpich-discuss] cannot register spn

Hi,
 Are the two machines part of a windows domain ? Are you the administrator of the domain (Only a domain administrator can register SPNs)? 

(PS: If the machines are not part of a domain you could register your username/password - "mpiexec -register" with MPICH2 and run your MPI jobs. You need to register SPNs only for passwordless authentication)

Hi, 
I am trying to use command smpd -register_spn on each of my nodes(two, one master one slave, windows XP) without any success; here's the error 

c:\>smpd -register_spn 
GetComputerObjectName failed: Error 1351 
ScpCreate failed: 1351 
Failed to create smpd's Service Principle Name with the domain controller 

What does it mean? 
I am using a local area network in my office. I can share file with my slave node but I cannot get mpiexec to run for both boxes.
