[mpich-discuss] Problem getting mpd working on a mac

I am trying to set up mpd as root and I am running into problems.

billmp1:mpich2-1.3 zfw$ sudo make install
[…snipped…]
billmp1:mpich2-1.3 zfw$ sudo mpd --daemon
billmp1:mpich2-1.3 zfw$ mpirun -np 2 ls
unable to find mpd.conf file
billmp1:mpich2-1.3 zfw$

Am I doing something wrong?
