[mpich-discuss] Announcing the availability of MPICH2-1.2

Hi all,
I looked at the changes and noticed that it mentioned multiple
improvements to Nemesis/MX and so I searched Trac for "nemesis mx".
Changesets 5126 and 5148 mention the limit of MX endpoints per host.
This defaults to 8, but can be modified when MX is loaded. Rather than
outline the procedure in the README or CHANGES, you may want to simply
edit the README to recommend that the user contact help at myri.com if
they need to use more endpoints. We do not recommend oversubscribing
the cores (more MPI ranks than cores), but someone will need to do
this if they have more than 8 cores/host or if they use PVFS2/MX or
Lustre/MX with 8 cores/host.
Regards,
Scott
