[mpich-discuss] If you node does not know whether the next message is Bcast or Send

what is the best practice to set up to receive regardless of what is send?  I suspect this is an obvious question, but I have to admit I do not know the answer.  I am using Bcast independently but now I find myself in a situation where on the cluster both can be sent and nodes can be the target of both simultaneously.  Any advice or best practice approaches I should be educating myself on.  My MPI books don't appear to address this particular issue.
