[MPICH] MPICH2 on multiple window system

Dear mpich2 commmunity,

Has anyone used sleeping PCs on the desks of many colleagues in an 
office building at night to conduct scientific computings using mpich(2) ?
If you did, could you please share as many tips as you can on how to do 
it right on ~100 PCs (3 GHz CPU, 1GHz ethernet, firewall issues, ...) ?
