[MPICH] Passing config options to romio via MPICH2's configure script

When building the older MPICH code, one could do the following:

./configure --with-io_romio_flags=--with-file-system=ufs+nfs+panfs

I don't find this option with the new MPICH2 and I'm wondering how to  
enable the build for Panasas support.  Any ideas?
