[MPICH] striping_unit Hint Question

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using PVFS2, so that is good new. One last question, just to clarify: I am aware that the striping_unit hint is only premitted when the file is created. What I'm wondering is, if I create afile using the striping_unit hint, but then later I add to the file (add records to it), will the additional data be striped in the same manner as was the initial data was when it was created?
