[MPICH] "failed to ping mpd on "

Hello
 I'm a newbie to this mailing list and to mpich2
 I've installed mpich on 2 pc's ( MachineMPI2 and 3 ) on Fedora , but running
"mpdboot -n 2 -f mpd.hosts" gives me :
mpdboot_MachineMPI2 (handle_mpd_output 359): failed to ping mpd on
MachineMPI3; recvd output={}
