[MPICH] thread test alltoall fails

Steve,
      A new version of MPICH2 will be released in a week or so, which will
have better thread support. If you want to look at a pre-release snapshot of
it, you can find one at
ftp://ftp.mcs.anl.gov/pub/mpi/mpich2-1.0.4-rc1.tar.gz.
