[MPICH] File Locking: ROMIO vs MPICH2

Dear list,

I have recently begun using the ROMIO extensions to MPICH 1 and I (like 
many others it seems) have encountered problems with file locking on 
NFS.  The normal procedure (noac + nfs-utils etc) fixed this problem 
but I was wondering if I would have the same difficulties using a fully 
fledged MPI (CH) 2 distribution.

Any ideas?
