Hi all, just a quick reminder that we will have a quarterly call tomorrow at 11am CST. Please send in any agenda items or questions that you would like to add. I've listed a draft agenda below.

thanks,
-Phil

Recent releases/updates
-------------
- Argobots 1.0 was released beginning of April

  * - no radical changes to functionality from recent rc releases
  * - some API changes, already incorporated in Thallium

- Thallium 0.6+

  * - Better serialization implemented (no code change needed for users)
  * - Preparing for a transition to the Cereal serialization library

Upcoming releases/updates
--------------
- Expect a Mercury 2.0 release soon

  * - last pending update is a variation on addr_lookup() that completes immediately (no asychronous callback)

- Expect a subset of Mochi packages (probably Margo, Thallium, and abt-io) to be upstreamed in spack shortly after

Recent problems and solutions (i.e. platform issues or observations)
-------------
- Philip Davis of Rutgers encountered a problem getting the right libfabric provider to activate on a particular platform

  * - look out for the FI_PROVIDER environment variable; it can be used to force the use of a particular provider in libfabric
  * - could be used by some MPI implementations to control fabric use, inadvertently forcing Mochi to use a different provider than expected

Work in progress
--------------
- ongoing work on tuning, with a focus on Summit

  * - in particular, working on improving small access size performance and understanding memory registration costs

Component / Microservice highlight
--------------
- Sonata (json document store database)

Questions and discussion
