itaps-parallel Compiling on mesh machine

When I compile on the mesh machine, I get error messages that look like the
following:

iMeshPZoltanTest.cpp:114: error: invalid conversion from â to â
iMeshPZoltanTest.cpp:114: error:   initializing argument 2 of â
iMeshPZoltanTest.cpp:114: error: invalid conversion from â to â
iMeshPZoltanTest.cpp:114: error:   initializing argument 3 of â
iMeshPZoltanTest.cpp:144: error: cannot convert â to â for argument â to â


Is there any way to get the compiler to use words instead of the funky "a"
character?  Debugging would be easier if the users didn't have to guess.
