Workshop Description
=====================
The DataComp Workshop focuses on the rapidly evolving landscape of data
intensive computing, artificial intelligence, and high performance
infrastructures supporting scientific discovery and industrial innovation.
As modern research and industry generate unprecedented volumes of
heterogeneous data, efficient access, intelligent processing, and robust data
governance have become essential components of advanced computational
ecosystems.
The workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, and infrastructure
specialists working at the intersection of AI/LLMs, HPC, Big Data analytics,
and FAIR data management. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of data
centric AI, scalable data infrastructures, and the integration of AI driven
analytics into scientific and industrial workflows.
A special focus of DataComp 2026 is the practical implementation of the
European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), including federated data repositories,
interoperability frameworks, and the use of AI and HPC resources within
the EOSC ecosystem. The workshop aims to provide a platform for sharing best
practices, discussing challenges, and presenting innovative solutions that
enable efficient, transparent, and reproducible data driven research.
We invite original contributions presenting research results, case studies,
infrastructure solutions, and practical experiences related to data
intensive computing in science and industry.
Topics of Interest
==================
* Efficient access to data and data infrastructure
* AI/LLM models to support big data analytics in science and industry
* Data access according to the FAIR methodology
* Implementation methods of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)
* EOSC data repositories
* Good practices in industry and scientific environments
Paper Submission
=================
* Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers and
experience reports addressing theoretical, methodological, and practical
aspects of AI supported Big Data analytics, HPC infrastructures, and FAIR
compliant data management.
* Accepted papers presented at the conference will be published in the PPAM
2026 Proceedings (Springer LNCS), subject to the conference’s publication
rules.
* Submissions should follow the LNCS format and will undergo peer review by
the Programme Committee.
* Alternatively, abstracts delivering original works are invited to be
presented at the Workshop. They should be prepared according to the Springer
LNCS format on 2 pages. Accepted abstracts will be posted on the workshop site
before the conference.
