Call for SC Steering Committee At Large Member Nominations
----------------------------------------------------------
The SC Steering Committee invites nominations for at-large members of
the SC Steering Committee for a four-year term starting January 1, 2027.
Self-nominations will be considered.
A complete nomination includes:
* The nominee’s name, employer, and email address;
* A recent curriculum vitæ (CV) or résumé that highlights the nominee’s
experience with SC, with other relevant conferences, and the nominee’s
relevant professional experience; and
* A statement that demonstrates how the nominee meets the “Desired
Experience and Qualities” listed below. If not self-nominating, this
statement may be developed by the nominee (preferred) or the nominator
on the nominee’s behalf. The nominator must clearly indicate who
developed the nomination statement.
Nominations close Friday, September 11, 2026.

Desired Experience and Qualities:
---------------------------------
* A compelling vision for how the conference may serve the needs of the
high performance computing, networking, storage, and analysis
communities
* Experience with and knowledge about the SC conference, including its
main components and how they relate to each other
* A willingness to be an active and engaged advocate for the SC
conference community
* A commitment to participate in monthly steering committee meetings for
a four-year term.
- The January, June, and November meetings are held in person. The
other meetings are 90-minute teleconferences. It is acceptable to
attend the January and June meetings virtually if circumstances
require. Because we expect steering committee members to attend the
November SC conference in person, we expect them to participate in
the November steering committee meeting in person.
* A commitment to serve on, and potentially chair, topical subcommittees
of the steering committee. This involves meetings in addition to the
monthly steering committee meeting and/or asynchronous online work.
