Computer Arithmetic Summer School

The Computer Arithmetic Summer School is a pre-conference event designed exclusively for students interested in computer arithmetic. This is an opportunity to learn from experts and engage with peers before the main event.

Dates: May 1st - 2nd, 2025

*       Free
*       Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meals.
Application Process / Audience
Eligibility Criteria:
*       Academic Level: Applicants are welcome from all academic levels, including current undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students.
*       Research Focus: The Summer School is open to students from all disciplines, but preference will be given to those whose area of study and statement of interest align with the themes of the ARITH conference.
Application Materials:

*       Resume: Submit a current 2-page-max resume that includes academic achievements, publications, research experience, and relevant skills.
*       Statement of Interest: Write a 500-word statement explaining your motivation for attending the summer school. In particular, explain how the summer school will contribute to your current work and to meeting professional goals.
*       Letter of Recommendation: (optional) Submit one letter of recommendation from an academic supervisor or professor familiar with your work. It should be sent directly to the program.
Application Deadline:
*       Applications are open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
*       Applications will remain open until spaces are filled.
Notification of Acceptance:
*       Applicants will be notified via email by April 10th, 2025.
Participation Confirmation:
*       Upon acceptance, participants will need to confirm their attendance within two weeks of receiving the acceptance email, and submit any additional documentation required by the organizers.
Pre-Arrival Preparation:
*       Accepted students will received a detailed program schedule, reading materials, and logistics information (campus map and meeting room) about two weeks before the start of the Summer School.
