Overview
========

The International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE) originated 16 years ago from the fusion of an ACM workshop on software and performance prediction and a SPEC workshop focused on benchmarking and performance evaluation. ICPE remains committed to these foundational themes while evolving to address the latest challenges in software performance modeling, prediction, measurement, and benchmarking.

The conference covers all levels of system and software design, performance modeling, and performance measurement, ranging from core cloud infrastructure to edge computing, mobile devices to large-scale data centers, and web applications to scientific computing. It attracts both researchers and industry professionals, 
fostering discussions on performance trade-offs, design efficiency, maintenance challenges, user experience, and cost management.

ICPE 2025 will feature keynote talks by distinguished experts, along with conference sessions showcasing 25 full papers across the research and industry tracks. Additionally, five industry-led presentations will highlight recent innovations, challenges, and emerging opportunities in performance engineering. These works 
span key topics such as profiling, bottleneck analysis and software development, cloud architectures, LLM performance, cloud in industry, benchmarking in industry, architectures, memory and network, deployment and capacity planning, energy and modeling.

Alongside these, short papers, data challenge contributions, and emerging research presentations will offer a platform for discussing work-in-progress studies and exploring new research directions. A panel session will bring together leading researchers to reflect on the current state and future trajectory of performance

ICPE 2025 will take place at the Second Student Centre, York University, from May 5th to May 9th, 2025. The main conference, scheduled from Wednesday, May 7th, to Friday, May 9th, will feature keynote presentations and conference sessions. On Monday and Tuesday, May 5th–6th, the program will feature six workshops and three 
tutorial sessions, providing practical experience and a platform for engaging discussions. Additionally, the conference offers an excellent opportunity for networking with leading academic and industry experts in performance engineering.
