I am pleased to announce that we will be holding a tutorial for Legion
(https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://legion.stanford.edu/__;!!G_uCfscf7eWS!ZVsjjeQdzH_r251uMH-NuQw3VHh_LsnQWrzfZC1lAvlY8edu3H2LShZV4MbT16C_N7R7oGPCWHDER8KDkwfIR5RnyBU$ ) at SC’24 on Sunday, November 17.

Legion is a programming system for large-scale distributed and
heterogeneous computing, and runs on all of the major DOE (and most
international) supercomputers. This tutorial will cover both the
conceptual model of Legion as well as practical usage of the system via
Regent, a programming language for Legion. (Everything you can do in
Regent can also be done in C++, but Regent is easier to teach and speeds
up the learning process, even for those who ultimately want to use C++
with Legion.) This will be a hands-on tutorial and you will learn to write
Regent programs that run, including on multiple nodes and with GPUs.

We made a brief video about the tutorial contents so you can learn more here:

I hope you’ll join us!
