o If selected, theuArch’sgrant covers conference registration and
hotel costs. Professor, school, or student covers the remaining
costs.
o For local attendees who do not require air travel, we
expectuArch’sgrant to cover most of the costs.

* *Full Travel Grant*:uArchprovides up to $2000 per student for
registration, lodging and costs to travel to the conference. This
grant is open toeveryone, butis more selective than the matching
travel grant.
*Undergraduate Architecture Workshop (uArch) 2024*
The Undergraduate Architecture Mentoring (uArch) Workshop is designed to
introduce undergraduate and earlyMaster'sstudents to research and career
opportunities in the field of computer architecture and to provide
insights into graduate school lifestyle and survival skills in general.
The program includes technical sessions that cover past, current, and
future research directions in computer architecture, mentoring and
networking sessions with graduate students and professors, and
discussions on applying to graduate school and navigating the
architecture research landscape effectively.
*TheuArchworkshop and ISCA conference are open to all undergrads and
earlyMaster’sstudents.*However, to encourage expanded reach and greater
participation by students regardless of financial means, we cover some
orall ofthe attendance costs with Full Travel Grants and Matching Travel
Grants. More information below.
*Eligibility*:uArchwelcomes undergrads who may be interested in graduate
studies in Computer Architecture, but who do not have an extensive
network or guidance to make an informed decision on the topic.
EarlyMaster'sstudents are also eligible to apply, as well as recent
graduates who are currently in industry but are considering applying to
graduate school.
*Full Travel Grant*:uArchprovides a full travel grant (up to $2000 for
registration,hoteland travel) for a limited number of students. The full
travel grant is generally more selective than the partial travel

a professor or the school covers the remaining costs. For local

*Selection Criteria*: Applicants will be reviewed by a panel,
considering factors including:
* Year in school: Sophomores and Juniors have higher priority, but
all applicants, including ones considering re-entering graduate
school from industry, are encouraged to apply.
* Statement of interest: Applicants who can benefit from guidance
about graduate school, networking contacts, and information about
Computer Architecture are prioritized.
* Diversity and Inclusion: Membership in underrepresented groups in
computer architecture (e.g., gender, race, ability, first in family
to attend college, interdisciplinary educational background, LGBTQ
status).
*Requirements for Grant Recipients*: All grant recipients must attend
theuArchworkshop and ISCA in person.
*MICRO 2024*: There will also be anuArchworkshop at MICRO 2024 in
October in Austin, TX with matching grants only. Students may indicate
that they would also like their application to be considered for
auArchmatching grant at MICRO 2024 should they not be selected
foruArchat ISCA 2024.
